Put in your bid for the posting. Once you've found a position you believe you are qualified for, you can apply for it. You'll need to create a profile on the site you are using to look for gigs, filling in your contact information and qualifications. Keep in mind, others will be applying for the job as well, so you'll want to present yourself as best you can.[17]
Can anyone help with general instructions for the Domainite test? I just tried to sign up as an editor on Domainite, but when the “test” came up, it wasn’t at all clear what was expected or what kind of editing was required. The copy provided looked like it was meant to be website content and from first glance the grammar, punctuation, usage seemed to be correct. It seems like editing here could be anything from tightening it up to be a bit more concise and use active voice, to restructuring and rewording for marketing punch, to even HTML tags and formatting with bulleted items, headings, and insets. Any guidance? Thanks!
Fiverr is one of the biggest providers in the gig economy on the web and you can sell a wide variety of services and products through this medium. Do the research and find out what you can offer. However, keep in mind that like any other money-making task, it takes time to succeed here. And stellar reviews will help you generate more and more income over time.

Become a virtual assistant. If you have administrative experience and would like an opportunity to work from home, look into virtual assisting jobs at a site like virtualAssistants.com or TaskRabbit.com. It may take about a week to be processed, but the work is extremely convenient for stay-at-home parents or for filling in the gaps of a part-time schedule.

Society6: Selling on Society6 is as easy as uploading a high-res file, then setting your retail price and your profit for each art print type and size. The site will produce, package, and ship the product for you. You can also add a large variety of other products, including phone cases, clothing, home decor, and bed and bath products, which have pre-set royalty payouts.
Social media offers great opportunities but most people do not see this. I belong to so many WhatsApp groups and this is a source of free advertising. There are also a lot of Facebook groups that you can join. In this day and age, everybody belongs to two or more. if you don’t, and you want to make money, then start joining these groups because you have numerous prospective clients within these groups. How do you benefit from your association with these groups? Advertise your services there, and it’s virtually free. you may be good at a number of things. Everybody is good at something. That is just how it is. but how do you make known these talents if you are not marketing them? You are the only one who knows what you are good at, nobody else does. This is why you need to market your skill. For those who can teach, there are parents within these groups who can do with your part-time services. This is only one idea to get to you started. If you need more ideas, you can email me.
To test these websites, you’ll be asked to visit the site in question and record your reactions and thoughts as you go through it. I'd say the average rate per page is about $0.35. Most of my students in my course, Transcript Proofreading: Theory and Practice, begin at around 50 pages an hour with their first “real” jobs. We'll call that average — some students may read faster or slower. If the average student charges the average rate of $0.35 per page and reads at 50 pages an hour, that's $17.50 per hour. Not bad! What's cool is you're in control of your rate, and you can charge more for rush [work].

Ebay is a bellwether. It's been around since nearly the start of the online boom. But, like any other platform, success can seem fleeting if you don't know what you're doing. Selling items on eBay, professionally that is, can be an art form. Getting people interested in your auctions isn't always easy, especially when there's hefty competition and low demand for what you're selling.
If your goal is to work with a company that will send you editing work, then you’ve got plenty of options. Many times traditional publishers will turn to at-home editors to work on their manuscripts. Academic journals (i.e. research publications) also employ at-home editors, though they often want their editors to have specific training in a particular style guide (usually MLA or APA format) and/or a Masters degree in something related to the journal’s subject matter.
Respondent.io ($1,300): This site allows users to screen for online or in-person surveys and focus groups. The pay is amazing, easily averaging $125 per test. I only average getting approved for the groups about 10% of the time (I have filled out about 200 screeners and have been selected for 20 studies). Thankfully, each screener only takes me a few minutes to fill out. I have made up to $200 with one hour of work doing an in person focus group. Most focus groups are done through webcam, so you don't even have to leave your house. They payout via PayPal 7 days after the activity is complete. www.respondent.io
Currently, I teach American Literature at a rural high school in Georgia. I am an extreme introvert, so being in the classroom environment drains my energy, and I am thinking about leaving the profession. Proofreading and editing have always appealed to me, and since I live hours away from a big city, a brick and mortar editing office is not an option. I have six years of teaching experience, a Bachelor of Arts in English degree, and a Ed. S. in Curriculum and Instruction. Over the years, I have developed a love for proofing and editing and know that I could adapt to working online. Based on your experience with the industry, do you believe that it would be possible to make a living from working online? Would you recommend working for multiple companies to maintain a steady income? What is the job outlook for growth in the online editing industry? Thank you for posting the list of potential websites.

Third step is to write the emails but you will be really amazed to know that you do not need to write the emails on your own because you will get pre-written emails. You can just use the pre-written emails. It is up to you whether you write/type the matter of emails on your own or just copy paste the matter of emails from excellent pre-written emails. Most of our members just copy paste the matter that is given in excellent pre-written emails and send those emails. Very few members prefer to write emails on their own because it demands time and writing abilities also. We recommend our members to use the pre-written emails for sending and processing because it saves time as well as pre-written emails are of top quality.
Once you’ve gathered a list, put together a template outreach email (as you’ll be doing this over and over) that’s short and clear with expectations. Tell your potential interviewee who you are, what your podcast is about, and what you’re asking of them. Do a few test interviews with friends and family to make sure everything is being recorded at the quality you want and then book your first episode.

If you were to lose your blog today you’d have nothing to show for it, your advertisers won’t continue paying and readers will quickly realize you no longer exist. However if you had an email list you would carry on making money. Personally 80% of my income comes from sales generated from email marketing and my eCourse. This is by far the best approach to making money blogging I have come across.
Mechanical Turk is Amazon's take on micro-jobs. These are small miniscule-jobs that you can do for other people, which they call HITs, or Human Intelligence Tasks. These are super simple tasks that anyone can do. Some examples are listing off some URLs with certain kinds of images for one cent, or recording a few phrases with a microphone for 6 cents.
From time to time, Book In A Box will have remote Editor positions available. Keep in mind, this isn’t your typical editing job. As a Book In A Box Editor, you will interview and get to know authors and writers so you’ll be able to effectively take their thoughts and put them into words (without losing any meaning!). This nontraditional online editing job comes with some pretty nice benefits and a team that is super-supportive to boot.
Another strategy to make money online is to become a social marketing manager. Being present on social media is key for any business that wants to attract new customers, promote their products and grow their following. However, constantly posting, liking and commenting on the numerous social media channels is extremely time consuming. More and more businesses are recruiting social media managers to run and organize all their social media. And to save money, social media employees are often employed as online freelancers.

Now, it’s time to plan out your show. If you’re doing an interview-style show, you’ll now want to start getting some guests involved. You can use your existing social network to reach out to people you already know or are connected with on Twitter or Facebook. You can also head to Medium or Amazon to find authors or experts on topics specific to your niche.
This site is a bit different from your typical beer money site. This is a bit more professional. You work for "requesters" and they approve or reject your submitted content called "hits." Many people here think this great and it often gets them more money than other sites. They do require more personal info from you than the sites above for tax reasons (even though you likely won't have to worry about it) and not everyone gets approved to work here.
Take good pictures. Some of the options below don’t require you to actually take the picture and sell the product, but for the ones that do, make sure you take a clear picture that makes your product stand out from the others.  If you’re going to be taking a lot of pictures, set up a small “studio-like” area in your home with a backdrop and proper lighting to really make your pictures come across as professional. And of course, you’ll want a good camera too.
When you segment your list, you get a clear idea of who your potential customers are and who’re mere lurkers. You can segment your list according to their demographics, their open rates, their interest in your different products, past purchases, and so on. This way you can focus on selling different products to buyers who’re truly interested in purchasing them.

As well as selling your eBooks, Amazon can also create paperback copies of your book. CreateSpace, an Amazon-owned company, will help you self-publish your book. A relatively straightforward process, you must upload your work to CreateSpace and submit it for review. Your book will then be displayed on Amazon, and printed on demand and shipped by CreateSpace when purchased. And you can collect up to 70% royalties for each book sold.

If you have anything you want to sell, then EBay is the place you need to seriously consider doing it first. Personally I’m not a fan of the site because of the work it takes to build up a reputation. If you’re willing to grind through that process, you’ll be rewarded with many privileges – people have gotten rich selling books about how they got rich selling everything on EBay: Click here for a few tips from the pros.
I’ve been doing surveys now for about 18 months, but when i first started i, just like yourself, carried out a lot of research about all the different survey sites and slowly but surely i discovered the best ones to join and now i’m receiving quite a good monthly income from them, but after saying that i am a member of a large number of survey companies and some days i receive that many emails that sometimes i find it hard to keep up with them all, but it is worth it as it’s started to pay off. I’ll not mention all the survey companies i’m with because there’s far too many, but some of the better one’s are Global Test Market, I-Say, Toluna, Mintvine, Your Word, My Survey, Swagbucks, etc, etc. What i do is i keep trying new ones all the time and then i keep the good ones and get rid of the not so good.
Dayo, sadly, because of the market size, app related business remain only profitable in a few western countries. I don’t know of any that could be used in Nigeria. That said, you can always put your own twist on things and make something that people in your local area could find useful. Essentially, you create a niche market out of it, and that can be very profitable.

After you’ve done with the basic university formatting norms and the overall academic style of writing, it’s time to think of more interesting points of your editing process. On the next stage, you might want to review the academic paper that you are currently working on regarding the content completeness. What do we mean by this? First and foremost, it’s better to check if the information is accurate. Because, for example, if the student bases ones argument on an old evidence that have already been disproved by other scholars, the essay surely won’t get the highest grade and he or she might potentially blame you, the hired editor and subject matter professional, that you haven’t pointed out this misconception. We know, it might sound like a hassle to deal with, but it’s an essential part of the academic editor jobs and, on the flip side, it can also be an interesting research to perform yourself in case if you are familiar and passionate about the topic of your assignment.
If that sounds like too much technical information for you, there is an easy button – Google’s advertising platform is as simple as signing up, enabling (on Blogger) or pasting a small code on your website, and allowing the advertisements to automatically roll in. The problem with this program is that you don’t get any commissions – and you don’t get to control the ad content. This is useful for some, but powerful users will want something a little more robust.
So let’s get this show on the road. First, we need to clearly distinguish the proofreading jobs work from home and editing. Do you know the difference between the two? It’s simple. Proofreading is like an icing on the cake. It is the final touch before an academic paper is ready for submitting. Many students give their papers to professionals for proofreading to perfect the result, especially if they are running out of time with respect to strict university deadlines.
Has it ever occurred to you that the idea you wanted to convey was downright brilliant, but your teacher was too shallow to understand it? In reality, this happens like… never. If your idea is brilliant, everyone should be able to get it. It is not one of Nietzsche’s works; it is a college essay! The problem is that you failed to put your idea in the right words and to build the connection with the reader. This is the first step that our essay editor does — making sure that your audience will get your point.
Let’s imagine that you have already applied for a vacancy of a writer editor job from home and you’ve got your first assignment to work with. Deep down you are nervous of this first task at your new job, even though you know that you have nailed lots of academic papers yourself. First off, take a few deep breaths and prepare for an attentive, but extremely interesting job. This section will briefly guide you through the most common editing process to let you know what to expect from this work so you can have a final assessment of whether this is the right freelance opportunity for you. If you want to know how to become a freelance proofreader, you can also continue reading, because as we already know from the information above, every editing process necessarily contains the proofreading stage.
There are almost 5 million apps in both the Apple App store and the Google Play App store. If you have a great problem to solve for a specific niche, building a mobile app can be very profitable. With over 5 million apps, you need to do your research and really understand both your target audience and the specific problem you are solving for them. Right now the most downloaded paid apps include Games, Health apps, Productivity tools and other entertainment apps.
The truth of it is that it is going to be hard to compete unless you offer something good or tug at the heart strings. Many commercial car washes can do a full wash for $5 in just minutes, and it's going to be hard to compete with that. But, there are a few ways you can still manage. Teens to mid twenties work best. Be sure to have some buff looking guys and girls to enthuse the car owners to stop (yes, it isn't ideal but it works). Advertise everywhere -- throw flyers out from a plane if you have to. Donate a portion of the profits to charity. And advertise this really well. And be sure to stick to your wording and donate said portion of the profits, not a portion of the income.
If you are completing surveys on sites such as mTurk or Prolific - a lot of those are academic surveys. During the break periods (such as summer and holidays) there will typically be less work available. It will also depend on the time of day to an extent. You are more likely to find work in the morning than in the evening. Also, take note that survey work on the better sites such as mTurk and Prolific goes quickly. You often will only have a few minutes to accept the work - so you need to use a watcher of some sorts to catch the surveys in time. Also, make sure to fill out any profile questions that the site may ask for. Prolific has a fairly extensive "about you" section that will help filter out the surveys and grant you access to additional surveys.
Offering specific online SEO services is also another online freelancer role that businesses are crying out for. If you know how to improve a website’s SEO by doing keyword research, creating content that can rank in search engines, adding metadata / schema to posts and pages, and building backlinks to a domain, to name a few tasks, then this could be a great line of work for you.
Yep. I'm working on transitioning out of working online and am very eager to no longer depend on it at all. If you look at the resources linked in the right panel, the vast majority of those opportunities no longer exist. Working low-skill internet jobs with low barriers to entry used to be an introvert's paradise. Nowadays, there are very few jobs outside of remote customer service positions that provide reliable, consistent income.
I’m using a free method as a result of my own researched to discover high value sites online for basically anything. The important thing is to tell Google what you’re looking for. Something like “Free Online Survey Sites That Pay”, then check page rank, and then both quality and quantity of visitors. You will find the article on how to apply this method on my Blog Titled – 2 Simple Research Tactics For Exponential Visitor Conversion At No Cost

Thanks for stopping by! Some clients leave gigs posted for 30+ days before they start responding to proposals. When it comes to freelancing sites, like Upwork, I’ve found that getting the first gig is not always easy. The key is to stick with it! You may want to try changing up your proposal, if you haven’t already, to see if that makes any difference in the responses you receive from clients. Otherwise, I’d give it another couple of weeks. Also, make sure your profiles are complete and you have relevant work samples as well as taken some tests to demonstrate your skills — it can go a long way in helping you get that first gig!

This is an interesting way of earning money as your opinion counts, literally! You get to give your opinion on music tracks and count your money twice a week, every Tuesday and Friday via Paypal. I've personally cashed out several times on Thursday and my funds were in my account the next day. A track is sent to you on a daily basis and you give feedback as to whether it is a hit or a miss. You also get to increase your earnings by referring friends to Slice the Pie, yes, the pie is too big for you to enjoy alone. Through their reviews, you get to earn bonuses. Once you’ve had children, many parents find themselves caught in the trap of needing to work but wanting to stay home with their kids. Creating your own parenting blog can not only be a way to make some money, it can also help you connect with other parents and make sense of those crazy sleepless early parenting years (it does get easier don’t worry!)

There are many ways to get people onto your list. Lead magnets are one such resource. For example, you can build ebooks, checklists and cheat sheets. But you can also do content upgrades, such as PDF versions of an article with added resources in them, four-part video training series, and more. Think about your audience and what you can offer them to better serve them, then treat them with some respect and you'll eventually reap the rewards.
Bless you, I make flutes for fun and sell them rather cheap. I'm making about a dollar an hour. This is something I do because idle hands are the devils workshop. I just turned down a 7 flute set because I'm pretty sure the guy wants some concert quality flutes in various keys. I could do them but his requested tolerance what too risky that he wouldn't force a refund if just one note was on one flute was 1 hrz off. He doubled my standard price and I still said no. I make them for fun, not stress.

Redbubble ($60): My store. After getting rejected by merch by Amazon, I came here. You design and publish t-shirts, clocks, mugs, phone cases, and about 20 other mixed products, with each sell netting you a few bucks. They are based in Australia, and do pay-outs once a month on the 15th via PayPal. I have only been at this one for about two months, but see the potential it has. It also takes a good amount of upfront work before you see any dividends. You do all of the uploading and just wait for people to find it with keywords or searches. Great if you are artistic or know how to use any creative software. www.redbubble.com
Considering that you have a finite amount of time, passive income should make up a large part of your work. And if you're serious about generating any semblance of income online, then passive income should be one of your sole goals and ambitions. Why? Simply this. Wouldn't you prefer to do the work one time and get paid repeatedly as opposed to relying on your time to generate that income?

I have the links on the Facebook page, I don't have them handy as I am at work and just hop on Reddit once every couple hours.. If you Google the company names you can find the companies pretty easily.. also i included the sites for a few of the things above. For the major companies, Google them, go to their career page, and when searching for a job you search terms like "work from home," "remote," and "telecommute." I may be able to send you a few links tomorrow, but I am slammed after work today as well.

If you have zero proofreading experience, you might also consider building a personal website (it only takes 10 minutes), where you can provide your own writing samples, services offered and pricing, and your contact information so potential clients can get in touch with you. Having your own website is the easiest way to build an online presence so you can begin building relationships that can lead to future proofreading jobs.
